Must Read For Every 20 Years Old

Being  in your 20s is a tough thing to be.It is a time for figuring out your life,when you start to plan everything and work accordingly. This is a time when you will cone across many success and failures, when you learn many thing .You meet new people, visit new places, and overall have new experience. Often time you will have no idea where your life is heading towards and what you are doing with your life and that is completely okay.  And a little guidance,motivation, talks will harm no one and being a avid reader personally I think book is a great way to do that. Books are short cut to experience, inspiration, help and personal counseler-to-go, granting wisdom and meaning to your life. So here is a list of my personal 10 must-reads for every 20 year old.

 1.Wild : From Lost To Found on the Pacific Coast Trail By Cheryl Strayed

Story of a 26 year old woman who has set out for hiking and she has already separated from husband. mourning the loss of her mother losing her to cancer. Through her journey she meets many people with whom she connects to some level. Story of grief,loss,addiction and how she comes in term with her pain,how she found herself; self discovery and personal growth. 

2.The Diary of a Young Girl By Anne Frank

A personal journal being published into a book. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who lived and died during The Holocaust. The diary she received on her 13th birthday and starts maintaining diary,later the are forced into hiding during World War 2. She talks about hiding, living condition, World War 2. She talks about despite of their sufferings she finds beauty in everything. A heartwrenching tale of a teenage girl who just wants to live a normal life but is forced to suffer.

 3.The Alchemist By Paulo Coelho 

The Alchemist is a enchanting novel that motivates you.The book is about journey of a boy named Santiago who wanders in pursuit of his treasure and dreams and acheives his destination.The book is about being determined and passionate in pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. Not being scared of failures and obstacle but rather getting back up and seeing in the face of problems.How even a tiny element in the universe has a purpose to fill. Focusing on your journey and enjoying every little thing in life.This novel will leave you spellbound and motivating you in every best possible ways and you can relate it to your own life. 

 

4.The Kite Runner By Khaled Hosseini

Debut novel of Afghan-American writer, is a gripping tale of love, betrayal, friendship and redemption.Story of a boy named Amir and his childhood friend Hassan, where Amir is forced to flee  from Afghanistan after the war conditions. Amir and Hassan has left on bitter terms,throughout the novel many deep dark secrets unfolds. It will leave you captivate and you wouldn’t want to leave their world. 

5.The Noticer By Andy Andrews

The Noticer features a old character, Gray Hairs who always carry a suitcase with him who appears just at the moment when someone is in problem and offers words of wisdom that he calls perspective. This book is not just about perspective, hope, positiveness at the darkest times but it also communicates with you at a deeper level.When I sat down read this book, it kept me so hooked that I finished this book overnight. A must-must read.

 6. The Forty Rules of Love By Elif Shafak 

A novel within a novel, tells a story of two parallel stories  that mirrors each other. It is a story about a bored housewife who has take a reading job when she comes across the novel “Sweet Blasphemy” tells the story of 13th century wandering Persian Sufi Dervish-Shams Tabriz and his bond with the great poet Rumi. Ella soon find herself captivated by the novel and the writer.As she reads she begins to question her life and falls in love with the writer. 

 7.Harry Potter By J.K.Rowling 

This name is no wonder in this world.Every people from each age group knows of it.But it is more than some magical children book.Books grows up as you grow up.Book discuss deep themes such as the power of love, friendship, prejudice, sacrifice, evil. Series is powerful,contains many backstories with its humourous,witty touch. 

8.To Kill A Mocking Bird By Harper Lee 

A gripping,heart-wrenching and wholly remarkable tale of prejudice of class,racism.A black man goes in trial for a rape of white woman, book is very intense. About tolerance and injustice, tolerance. This book has won Pulitzer Price. An American classic, a must-read.

 9. Animal Farm By George Orwell

First published in 1945, story starts with pigs planning to get rid of human tyranny, first it appears as one of those children’s books talking about animals, farms, their fights etc. But once you start to read and understand it goes on deeper level talking about politics, power, corruption, inequality, class prejudice. Orwell discussed about how an economy functions, brainwashing, etc talking about almost every evil.

10. Pursuit of Happyness By Chris Gardner 

There are many stories of single mothers struggling to raise their kids against incredible odds, and with little help. But rarely do you hear of single fathers going through the same struggle. Chris Gardner is one of those fathers.Gardner fought to raise his young son while homeless and living on the streets of San Francisco. Gardner, who served a brief stint in the Navy and had no education beyond high school, would eventually get back on his feet to become a millionaire stockbroker and business owner.
