Nursery Rhymes Revisited

Screenshot_2018-08-09-09-49-56The yesteryears nursery rhymes,
Sound so unrealistic in present times,
Let us hear them out again,
Although in a lighter vein!

Rain, rain go away,
Little Jhonny wants to play,
But Little Jhonny doesn’t need to play outside,
He has Sony Playstation right inside!

Humpy Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
Well he was pushed by paid agents,
And the king’s men had received their payments!

And Higgeldy Piggeldy my black hen,
She laid eggs for gentlemen,
Is not laying those eggs as before,
For there are no gentlemen around anymore!

Ba Ba black sheep have you any wool?
No sir, no sir, not even a thimble full,
Ever since the little boy teased the dame,
They call him the black sheep instead and ruined my name!

And Jack and Jill,
Who went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water,
Don’t climb uphill any more as they have Bisleri cans in their quarter!

However the only rhyme that seems ominously true nowadays,
Is the Ring-a-ring of roses, especially its last phrase,
In this brazenly selfish world’s town,
Ultimately yes we all fall down!
